Your local heating and cooling team in Crown Point and Lake County. Repair, tune-ups and new systems, available 24/7.
Crown Point is the Lake County seat, a city of about 34,000, and our Tin Man trucks are a familiar sight around town, headed to heating and cooling calls. Local homeowners have been getting the royal treatment from King since 1968.
Call 24/7 when the furnace quits on a cold night or the AC fails on a hot afternoon. A friendly, experienced technician diagnoses the problem, gives you an up-front estimate and gets your system working again. Crown Point calls are dispatched from our Oak Forest headquarters.

The Old Lake County Courthouse, begun in 1878, still anchors the square. Around it, Crown Point has grown fast, and most of its homes are from the 1990s or later.
The median Crown Point home was built in 1993, and the 2000s were the busiest building decade. Central air typically lasts 12 to 15 years, so systems installed with many of these homes are at or past that age. A free in-home estimate on a new AC or furnace sizes the system to the house, not the old unit.
Crown Point's water comes from Lake Michigan through Indiana American Water, and the city's 2025 report lists hardness at 150 ppm, about 9 grains per gallon. Over time that leaves sediment and scale in a tank water heater. An annual flush helps it last.
About 7.6% of Crown Point homes date to 1939 or earlier, many in the Courthouse Square, Sunnyside and Holley historic districts. Houses that age can still heat with a boiler, and we service those along with furnaces.
