Reverse-osmosis systems come in two main forms, and the right one depends on where your family gets its water.
A sink-specific RO system installs in the cabinet below and filters water for that one faucet, usually the kitchen sink where you fill glasses and pots. A whole-home system filters water for the entire house and is usually wall-mounted in a garage or storage closet.
