Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
Yes. King answers calls around the clock, every day of the year. Our dispatch runs continuously and we call ahead when a technician is ten to fifteen minutes out.

How do I know King is a trusted company?

Do you service systems you didn’t install?
Yes. King services and maintains every major brand, no matter who installed it. We’re a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, but our technicians are trained across makes and models, and a tune-up on a system we didn’t install gets the same inspection.
How often should I have my heating and cooling serviced?
Twice a year: in the spring for your air conditioner and in the fall for your furnace. Regular tune-ups keep your system efficient and safe, and catch small problems before they become breakdowns. The King Royal Treatment Plan schedules both for you.
How long does a furnace or AC typically last?
Most central air conditioners in the Chicago area last about 12 to 15 years with regular maintenance. A furnace more than 10 years old may be nearing the end of its working life, especially if bills are rising or repairs are getting frequent. Annual maintenance is the biggest factor in how long either one lasts.
How do I know whether to repair or replace my furnace or AC?
Age is the first test. A system well within its expected life with one failed part is almost always worth repairing. Replacement starts to make sense when the system is past its expected life, needs a major component, has needed repeated repairs, or your energy bills keep climbing. Estimates on a new system are free.
Does King service boilers?
Yes. We specialize in a comprehensive range of heating solutions, including fixing, servicing, and replacing boilers and radiant heating systems. More about boilers.
Does King thaw frozen pipes?
Yes. If a water line freezes, call us 24/7. We have the equipment to safely thaw frozen pipes, and we repair pipes and leaks if one has burst. If a furnace breakdown caused the freeze, our NATE-certified technicians can fix that too.
